Abigail-Part II

Now 2 weeks old, Abigail joins her 3 older siblings. I love this family. They are the cutest kids with big personalities and lots of love for their new baby sister.

K and Tay

Are you sick of seeing pics of my girls?? Well, I had no desire to try to capture my 2-year old. She is fast and darts in every direction.

Earlier this day we had our family photos taken by the fabulous Melissa Mae.  Although the girls were pleasant (in other words 'not crying').........Tayvlee was clingy, wanting to be held, or wanting to run away and play. So I asked Melissa to focus on just the pics of the whole family.

When Ryan got home that night, Tay was in the cutest, goofiest mood..............so I convinced him to come and get the girls giggling and laughing while I snapped a few pics of just the two of them. I am glad I did, 'cause the girls did awesome.

I'm super excited to see our family pics later this week, when Melissa sends me our gallery.

My Daughter's BFF- Atianna

This sweet girl just turned 2 last wednesday. She is the daughter of the most amazing mom and one of my dear friends. My daughter gets babysat by her mom every week and I am SO lucky to have someone as reliable and loving as she is. Atianna and my daughter are 2 months apart, yet I have no desire to take 2 year old pics of my daughter. She wouldn't sit for longer than half a second. We had fun twirling and jumping and playing in mom's shoes for this photoshoot. Happy Birthday Ati!

DADS: a post for Father's Day

Baby brother is only days old, and Big brother is 4.

One of my favorite things as a photographer is being able to communicate an emotion to the viewer simply by drawing their eyes to a particular focus point.  I love the focus on big brother looking up at daddy. You can really see the love in his eyes. These are the best moments to capture.

Santa Monica Pier--{Peaches n' Cream}

We debated between morning or evening and went with the evening thinking it would be less crowded at the pier at 6pm. But it was soooo crowded and luckily we were able to shots with out too many "extras" in the background. Love these two boys. These expressions are so true to who they are. I love capturing their real personalities. Shy little Carter, hiding behind his hands and laughing at his mommy's jokes. And serious Braden, being his goofy litlle self.

I love their choices of colors, so perfectly coordinated, but not overly matchy. Lots of layers and textures, great job!
