L + T { engaged }

 Photography is my second business. I also work at the same company with this couple.  {L} was also one of my daughter's preschool teachers last year.  They were such a fun, easy-going couple.

I took her senior pics here.  And now.........engaged to be married. I can't wait to capture the BIG DAY.

on a side note: as I looked back on her senior/grad pics, I realized how my editing style has evolved. In the beginning I hated it, then changed it and loved it, then changed again and yikes (not liking it again), but whew........I think I finally figured out my ideal editing workflow. Now I want to go back and re-edit everything on this blog. Oh well, I'll just keep looking forward not backward.

Camarillo Ranch Wedding

the Maid of Honor

the Wedding Party

the Ceremony

the First Kiss

Check out "all the details" in the post below.

Mother of the Bride

it's all in the details...........

  I have always thought it would be so much fun to do a wedding and there are so many shots I would love to capture as a wedding photographer, but I have declined many wedding events for my own personal reasons.

I finally decided I needed to do at least one full coverage wedding.  This beautiful wedding took place at the Camarillo Ranch.  I used to work with the bride 3 years ago and I was flattered she thought of me to capture her special day.  I think I might start accepting wedding events moving forward :)

Although their vendors were late and it POURED rain only hours before the ceremony, the bride remained calm and positive.  Hey, isn't it good luck if it rains on your wedding day?
Congratulations to you both, thanks for letting me be a part of it.

After getting a few shots of the bride getting ready...............I took the groom out to one side of the barn. I brought the bride over to the adjacent wall and had them reach around the corner and hold hands. Then on the count of 3...2...1....they had their first look. The grooms face was priceless.

the reception was to be held outdoors, but since it poured rain, we were nervous about the grounds being too wet and muddy. So they had the reception moved inside the barn.
They were married on August 3rd, so of course I had to use "TABLE 3" in my table shots.

the candle lights gave the most beautiful ambiance once the lights went out............as well as the disco light :)
